The Adolph Shooting Range is located on the north end of The Leonardus Loop.  It can be configured for shooting handguns, rifles and shotguns.  The backstop is ten feet thick.  The first two feet consist of sand.  The next seven feet is stone dust.  The next foot is poured reinforced concrete set at a 30 degree angle towards the ground.  The remaining two feet is sand. The backstop is twelve feet high. Ballistic testing can be performed in any configuration.   A red flag is flown at all points near the range when it is active regardless of the type of configuration.  The backstop is designed to stop any round from a .22 short to a .50 BMG.

Each shooting position is level.  Course stone is place on the ground and covered by four inches of stone dust.  Water is drained quickly through the stone dust to the ground.  The area around the shooting position is boarded by 4 x 4 pressure treated lumber.  The 4 x 4s are positioned so the top is even with the ground.

When configured as a handgun range it has distances of up to 100 feet.  Tactical targets are set at distances as close as two feet.  The handgun configuration is fully configurable for barricade positions, rooms and tactical advances.  Fixed and moving targets are available.  Up to four positions are available for conventional shooting.

When configured for rifles it has distances of 25 to 100 yards.  This is ideal for sighting in scoped rifles or just plinking to keep up your skills.  Six lanes are available for conventional shooting.

When configured for shotguns it has clay throwers that can be launched remotely or manually.  The shotgun configuration allows clays to be launched in up to three different directions at a time.  There are one manual and two automatic or remote throwers available.  Up to five people can compete in a skeet configuration.
